ITT / School Direct

We are still recruiting for 2020/2021!

Following the recent instruction from the Government regarding the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, the Positive Regard TSA team are currently working remotely and will no longer be able to attend scheduled Recruitment Events or offer ‘Drop-in’ sessions.

However, we are still open to receive applications through UCAS and our team are available to support you in your application or answer any queries that you may have!

To continue our recruitment process as efficiently as we can, we are now embracing the power of technology and will interview candidates using Google Meet/Hangouts. In order to do so, you will require a device with a camera and audio. Should you be shortlisted to interview, further details will be explained in your invite to interview letter.

Take care and stay safe!

Kindest regards

Positive Regard

Positive Regard TSA, formerly known as Barnsley TSA, have been at the forefront of teacher training since 2013. Our School Direct programme forms a major aspect of this professional development role – through School Direct, we wish to recruit, nurture and develop new and exciting talent to the profession as part of our drive to promote outstanding teaching and learning in our schools.

Our training provides a pathway into teaching that is bespoke and flexible to individual needs, allowing those who have just completed their degree, or are considering a career change, to combine teacher training and learning within a school-based setting.

We work in partnership with three Universities across the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region; Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU), Leeds Beckett University (LBU) and Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).

We offer placements in Primary, Secondary and Special school settings across six different Local Authorities. As a School Direct trainee, you will become part of the team allowing you to train alongside experienced and specialist teachers, offering you support and guidance throughout your training year.
