WHY TRAIN WITH POSITIVE REGARD TSA?
Positive Regard TSA, formerly known as Barnsley TSA, have been at the forefront of teacher training since 2013. Through School Direct, we wish to recruit, nurture and develop new and exciting talent to the profession as part of our drive to promote outstanding teaching and learning in our schools. Our programme is further enhanced by attendance once a week at Sheffield Hallam University for subject specific development and accreditation.
We work with Primary, Secondary and Special School settings across six different Local Authorities, where you will train alongside experienced and specialist teachers.
Positive Regard TSA are unique as we offer Specialist Behaviour support and training that is delivered by our team of active practitioners.
We are a values driven organisation and believe that relationships make the difference.
OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme commences in September and runs through until June. During the course you will be in school for 4 days a week with Fridays spent at Sheffield Hallam University, however, during the assessed periods you will be in school 5 days a week.
As you will be attending Sheffield Hallam University on Fridays, you will also be entitled to claim back any travel expenses incurred through the University.
We follow the Sheffield Hallam University ABA model where you will spend the majority of your course in one of our partner schools, supported by experienced and supportive staff, one of whom will be assigned as host mentor. During this period you will complete your first assessed block. After Christmas you will then undertake a second contrasting placement in another of our partner schools in the first half of the Spring Term, and then return to the host school where you will complete your second assessed block.
