The Department for Education and Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) have been working closely to develop a position on COVID-19 and its impact on statutory newly qualified teacher (NQT) induction.

It is a legislative requirement of the Department for Education that a Newly Qualified Teacher must be registered with an Appropriate Body.

As lead school within Positive Regard Teaching School Alliance, Springwell Special Academy, Barnsley is our designated Appropriate Body for NQT validation.

As an Appropriate Body, Positive Regard TSA provides bespoke and professional support for over 35 schools, across the following Local Authorities:

Barnsley; Wakefield; Rotherham; Sheffield; Derbyshire; Kirklees; Leeds; Lincolnshire.
